& grade level State-Standards writing genres

Outcome:
Grade level team will identify writing genres to be taught &  published throughout the school year 

-  Review process for customizing IntelQuest student workbooks for grades 1-8

Use IntelQuest to integrate writing genres across ELA Standards

Outcome:
Each grade level will identify key ELA standards and embed them within a writing genre

 Procedure I :
1.
Identify next writing genre to be taught

2. Identify & highlight key ELA standards to be embedded

3. Share & discuss instructional strategies to teach identified standards


 

 
Procedure II :

Analyze how each identified standard is tested

5. Re-evaluate current instructional strategies based on analysis of academic language

6. Discuss opportunities to pace & imbed identified ELA standards into the writing process

7. Discuss & plan on how to reference academic language in the classroom
